WAKA Evolution
After the 2011 season came to a close there was a feeling we needed to have a logo that would become synonymous with our name. Months were spent with a designer and many logo's were tried out. After some tweaks were made the new Logo and color scheme came to light for the start of the 2012 spring season.

WAKA 1.0
WAKA Softball was established in the Spring of 2010. Our first season was in the A-Flight Softball league in Cliffside Park. The team was made up of guys who hadn't really played together before. The plan was to get some guys who could play competitive softball and have a team first mentality.
The first season was considered a success despite the losing record and the team went on to play in the summer league. Each season the team made improvements. There were some new players added along the way but the mission statement stayed the same.
Starting with the 2011 season a few new faces had been added that would be the building blocks of WAKA teams to come. The additions of Joe Calabro, Rick & Dean Mirkovic and Mimmo Gramuglia was what WAKA needed to be able to take the next step. With the added speed and power we had rounded out the roster to be able to compete at a competitive level.

WAKA/GREENROCK
WAKA;s first offical sponsor was GreenRock Tap & Grill. Our first test run of jerseys was with Shirts & Logo's to see how their product was. We ordered a set of jerseys for the team to get a feel for the quality and try to flex some of our style. The jersey colors were Green (for WAKA) and Orange for the influence of Fort Lee players on the team. The i9 teams (JV and GreenRock) won back to back championships (2010 & 2011).
