The Following is a small interview we did with him to better help others get to know him.

1)Name: Wayne Fasano
2)Age: 29
3) Town/City you live in: Lodi
4) Where did you grow up? North Arlington
5) Did you go to college? Where? Felician College in Lodi
6) Did you play sports in College? What sports?: Nope, I worked 50+ hours while

attending school
7) How long did you play? N/A
8) What is your biggest accomplishment in your sports career? Winning a Men's Softball Championship with my Father and Brothers, not many people can say that they've done that.
9) What/Who got you started in Softball? My Brother Ryan started a Beer League with our friends
10) What one or two things do you currently do in your training that are keys to your success? Batting Practice, try to do BP at least once per week, that is where you practice your placement of the ball rather then just swinging your hardest.
11) What would be your ultimate achievement in softball? To Win a National Title
12) How competitive would you say you are and how do you think that affects how you get along with other guys you play with? I am very competitive and it sometimes causes conflict with others who are not on the same skill level where I expect a lot more from teammates.
13) How did you start playing with WAKA? I played against Dom Pizzanelli in a couple leagues and told him if he ever needed a guy to let me know because I wanted to play in more leagues.
14) What is your biggest challenge in softball, and what do you do to manage this challenge? my biggest challenge is that I'm slow as f**k running. I manage it by getting a runner haha
15) What is your diet like? I eat very healthy, I stay away from carbs as much as I can. Mainly steak and seafood.
16) What was the best advice you were ever given? I was told to leave it all on the field. I bring that mentality into every softball game as well, no matter what the score I always push my teammates to leave it all on the field as well.
17) What do you do for fun when your not playing softball? I don't really do anything else, I work a lot so when I am free I play softball, and when I don't play softball I try to do batting practice to be better.
18) How many teams are you currently on? And name them. Currently I am on 5, I play on WAKA Diamond Rock which is an ASA E Tournament Team (We also play USSSA with the same team). As for leagues I play in Secaucus Men's Softball, Rutherford Men's Softball, 19) Ridgefield Park Softball Association, and ABL on Sunday Mornings.
19) What is your favorite WAKA uni? WAKA Northern Air, it was my first WAKA Jersey.
20) Do you have any brothers and/or sisters and do they play any sports? I have 2 brothers, we play softball in two different leagues together.
21) What is your funniest memory while playing with WAKA? We went to a tournament in Lakewood, Monteleone  subbed for us that day, he was at bat, they brought the 5th infield to field in front of the pitcher.... Monte then popped up to the catcher hahaha he then said
22) Do you have any nick names and if so how did you get it? <insert poop emoji> apparently calling me Sh*t makes me hit better LMAO
23) If you could improve part of your game what would it be and why? I would improve my fielding, I would like to gain more range to help lock down the right side more.
24) What would you be doing if you weren't playing softball? I would be playing in Basketball leagues. I've played during the offseason to stay in shape, but Softball always has priority for me.
25) Favorite sports and sports teams? Watching is Football, Oregon Ducks. Playing is Baseball/Softball, New York Yankees
26) Anything else you’d like to share? I feel like some people get the wrong impression of WAKA. They see a team that is very good and constantly winning so it makes people bitter and puts a target on your back. WAKA is a very close knit group of guys and we are always kidding around (see what I did there Russo?) I see big things for 2017, especially with both tournament teams, if you thought WAKA was tough in the past, you are not ready for us this year.

Thank You

George Jessen was picked as the WAKA PLAYER OF THE MONTH for April. His Offensive performance, Defensive performance, Attendance and overall Attitude were truly exemplary of WAKA and what we stand for. Thank you and Keep making us proud. The Following is a small interview we did with him to better help others get to know him.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH: MAY

1) Name: Anthony Rocco Albanese Jr
2) Age: 25
3) Town/City you live in: Palisades Park
4) Where did you grow up? Palisades Park
5) Did you go to college? Where? NJIT/William Paterson
6) Did you play sports in College? What sports? Nothing. I was worthless.
7) How long did you play? Beer
8) What is your biggest accomplishment in your sports career?  Probably getting a walk-off hit as a freshman playing varsity and getting interviewed by the paper for it. It was all downhill from there.
9) What/Who got you started in Softball? Russo asked me to play a few times as a fill in during one of our Call of Duty binges.
10) What one or two things do you currently do in your training that are keys to your success? Getting reps and ABs whenever I can, and funneling in the parking lot.
11) What would be your ultimate achievement in softball? Win a National Tournament…or just not bat last every game.
12) How competitive would you say you are and how do you think that affects how you get along with other guys you play with? I am the most competitive person I know. I used to lose my temper over every game I’d play in, but I’ve learned to handle myself much better. You have to be able to shrug things off and just control what you can control, otherwise you won’t have fun. Plus you look like an asshole yelling during a slow pitch softball game.
13) How did you start playing with WAKA? See question 9
14) What is your biggest challenge in softball, and what do you do to manage this challenge? Probably running face first into fences. I gotta stop doing that. No seriously, just staying focused and having a good approach at the plate. It’s easy to get bored during some of the games.
15) What is your diet like? Beer
16) What was the best advice you were ever given? I’ve learned a little something from everybody, so there isn’t really one main thing I can think of. I can give you all advice though. Never think that you can’t improve, theres always somebody who can teach you something. Unless you’re Ostuni, that guy is perfect.
17) What do you do for fun when your not playing playing softball? I hangout with my friends and family, I play other sports, I watch TV. Oh yeah, and BEER.
18) How many teams are you currently on? And name them. Check our team website. I think it’s Waksoftball.com. Ask Russo.
19) What is your favorite WAKA uni? WAKA Northern Air
20) Do you have any brothers and/or sisters and do they play any sports? I have an older brother who’s retired from baseball, but he’s really good at beer pong.
21) What is your funniest memory while playing with WAKA? Way too many to pick just one. Every moment spent with the guys on this team is memorable.
22) Do you have any nick names and if so how did you get it?
23) If you could improve part of your game what would it be and why? I’d like to improve every part of my game because I’m ASS but I guess I’d focus mostly on hitting and bat control.
24) What would you be doing if you weren't playing softball? With all of the time I spend playing softball, I probably could have ended World Hunger or brokered World Peace, good going Rich.
25) Favorite sports and sports teams? Baseball, Basketball, Football. Yankees, Clippers, Giants. I like every sport though.
26) Anything else you’d like to share? Stay Woke
