WAKA RULES AND REGULATIONS
1) UNIFORM
- Designated WAKA Jersey

1.1) HAT

- Any Black hat or beanie

* Even if the player is wearing a WAKA branded item, if it does not go with the color list then the uniform is incorrect. (i.e. Neon Jersey with Pink WAKA arm sleeve)
2) PAYMENT METHOD
- Each player is required to have Venmo for sending money
- Cash will no longer be accepted for any of payment
- When sending money on Venmo the sender will include all pertinent information in the notes (This is for record keeping)
- For any player not able send money through Venmo, it is suggested they get in contact with someone with the app and have them send the money for them.
3) STATS
- A book will be kept at each game
- This book will help keep track of each players stats over the season
- At the end of the season a players stats will be used to help the Captains determine starters
- Each of the team Captains can use discretion for setting a playoff lineup in spite of statistics
3.1) FANTASY POINTS
- "Fantasy Points" will also be calculated for each player to show overall production
- Scoring works as follows:
- Single = 1 point
- Double = 1.25 points
- Triple = 1.5 points
- Home Run = 2 points
- Walk = 1 point
- RBI = 1 point each
- Run Scored = 1 point
4) AWARDS
- Awards will be given out at the end of each season (Spring & Fall) or at the end of the year depending on which award.
- Player attendance
- Uniform attendance* (See Uniform policy 9 for more info)
- Most FTPS (fantasy points)
- Team MVP
- POTM (Player of the month)
- POTY (Player of the year)
- TOTY (Team of the year)
- Team player Award
- Most Achievement points
5) HITTING ACHIEVEMENTS
- Hit for the Cycle in a game
- 4 Walks in a game
- 5 Walks in a game
- 3 HR's in a game
- 4 HR's in a game
- Hit a ball and take off the players glove
- Hit a ball and have it break/rip the players glove
- Hit a ball and have it break a window (fair or foul)
- Get a double out of a ball that does not leave the infield
- Get a triple out of a ball that does not leave the infield
- Steal a base
- Steal Multi bases in a game
- 15 FTPS in a single game
- 20 FTPS in a single game
- Have minimum 10 AB's and not make a single out on the day
- Take the wrapper off a new bat while at the plate and hit a HR
5.1) FIELDING ACHIEVEMENTS
- Turn a Triple play (each player involved)
- Record an out from a foul ball that is caught over a fence
- Rob a HR from going over a fence
- Throw out multiple players from the OF in a single game
- Throw out a player from the OF at Home plate
5.2) PITCHING ACHIEVEMENTS
- 3 outs on 3 pitches
- Pitch a no hitter (Minimum 4 innings)
- Pitch a perfect game (Minimum 4 innings)
- Snap off the same batter 2x in a game
5.3) NEGATIVE ACHIEVEMENTS
- Make 3 outs in an inning
- Foul out 3 times in a game
- Come in for a pinch hit and strike out
- Bat .000 on the day with minimum 5 AB's
- Bat .000 on the day with minimum 6 AB's
- Bat .000 on the day with minimum 7 AB's
- Make the last out of the inning at 3rd base
6) PROPER TEAM ETIQUETTE
- Each player will need to Download "Whatsapp"
- This app is where all team communications will be sent out and monitored from
- Each player is asked to respect the chat and the people in the chat/on the team
- If an IN/OUT text is sent out each player should respond within a reasonable amount of time
- If a player isn't sure of their availability they should text one of the team Captains and make them aware of their situation as soon as possible
- Any player with any issues should address them with the team Captain's in a private text and should not air out issues in team chats.
- Any player who responds with an "IN" for a game that has any change of plans should make one of the Captains aware of the change as soon as possible.
- Only the Team Captains will be posting the updated IN/OUT text unless otherwise noted.
- Any player that can not download the app or isn't able to access the app should make the proper notification with the team's Captains in order to stay informed of team information. (It is the players responsibility to know when games are and what time games are to be played)
- The Team chat is a courtesy and all players without access to the app are to make sure they access the information on their own.
7) TEAM CAPTAINS
- Each WAKA team will be assigned 1 Captain and 1 Assistant Captain.
- The Captain will be responsible for sending out weekly game info (Date, Time & Location)
- Both will be responsible for having 10 men at the game (rostered or un-rostered)
- The Captain will be responsible for making the Lineup and starters
- Both will be responsible for bringing the team book, keeping the book at the game/s and maintaining the books integrity. (The Captains can assigning someone to do the book)
- Both will be responsible for pre-game rules with the umpire (The player who will be pitching should take the ground rules however one of the Captains can also attend)
- Both will be responsible for bringing any bases to games that require them
- Each will have a say in any roster additions or subtractions (To be discussed and voted on with team owner)
- Each will be responsible for keeping the Uniform attendance
- The Captain will be responsible for sending in/confirming a teams roster with the league director prior to the season. Must also confirm any Add/Drops with the league director prior to the final day of roster submissions.
- (Each Captain will be compensated at the end of the season)
8) TEAM SENIORITY
- The seniority of all WAKA team members will be decided by the total number of games played by the player. (League games played over Tournament games played)
- Players with a higher amount of games played have more seniority over players with less games played (as of Jan 1 of the new year)
- Any player wishing to change jersey number will refer to the seniority list
- Any player that has played during the year will have their number locked in until the end of the year or until they are no longer on an active roster.
- If the player is not on an active roster for the following year the number will be vacated and it will be open to any current player wishing to change.
9) ATTENDANCE POLICY
- All rostered players are required to attend a minimum of 60% of games to remain on the roster. Any less than 60% and the player is subject to being taken off the team. It will be at the Captains and Owner's discretion. All players should inform the Captain or Assistant Capitan of any issues related to missing games.
- All rostered players are required to attend a minimum of 80% to be considered for a starting spot in the post season. Any player with a less than 80% attendance record will be subject to Coach/Capitan discretion.
- If a player is hurt and can not play, they are still expected to be at the team games. A player who is hurt and does not attend will be considered absent.
- A player who is hurt and can not play but who still attends the teams game/s will be considered in attendance. A note about the players condition will accompany their attendance records. Discretion will be used.
- Each team Captain and Assistant Captain will be responsible for keeping and reporting any attendance issues.
- Any player that needs to miss a game after being accounted for should text one or both of the team Captains to make sure the roster has enough players.
10) UNIFORM POLICY
- Each player should be in proper uniform at every game. Each team will have a designated Jersey. That jersey is to be worn only for that teams game/s.
- The secondary uniform items have been designated at the top of this page. (I.E. Black Pants, Black Hat and Black Shoes.) It is at the team Captains discretion as to whether the player is in full uniform for all secondary items.
- Any player not in the correct Jersey or not in the correct secondary uniform items will not be fully credited for their uniform attendance.
- Rewards will be issued at the end of each season and year for players who achieved high uniform attendance.
10.1) UNIFROM REWARDS
- Top 5 highest marks will receive Tier 1 Reward
- All players over a 95% will receive Tier 2 Reward
- All players over a 90% will receive a Tier 3 Reward
- Each team Captain and Co-Captain will be responsible for keeping the team uniform attendance. It will be by their discretion if someone is in the proper secondary uniform articles. (Correct Jersey is not up for debate)
